Even therapists need a soft place to land... a nurturing space where you can flourish both personally and professionally. Bloom offers exactly that. This is your haven for meaningful connection, while receiving business & clinical support.
Within these virtual walls, you'll find a space dedicated to providing business mentorship, invaluable case support, and a private, safe, non-judgmental place to talk about everything else in-between.
I know that being a therapist is multifaceted. Alongside honing your clinical expertise, you're also building your business, tending to the diverse needs of your clients, nurturing your own family, and striving to meet your own needs in the process. I understand this deeply! It can feel like alot, because it is alot. On top of this, building a business can be an isolating experience for therapists, and one which we are not well prepared for by our clinical training.
This is why I created Bloom - to be your guiding light as you navigate being a mother, a therapist to other parents, and build a modern thriving practice.
Monthly 1:1 Voxer support from me - Yara Heary during my open voxer week. This is where you can send me voice messages privately and I will respond with support and guidance for wherever you are at in your business. This is not a therapeutic component of the membership - it is only for business support. Open voxer weeks run once a month between Monday to Thursday, 10am - 4pm AWST. Dates are provided once you are in the membership
Fortnightly 90min online group calls within our Circle platform (AKA Anchor & Align Sessions - Fridays 10am AWST) where you can ask biz questions, get guidance on client cases, vent, celebrate your wins, or recieve personal support. This is your place to be seen and heard as a therapist but more importantly, as a human. Come as you are to these calls. Attend every call or just as you need, you get to choose how you use the membership.
These sessions may also be counted towards peer supervision hours for yearly registration requirements.
These sessions will be directed by the need of the group and may include topics such as: expanding your support team with a VA, how to guest on podcasts, navigating social media as a modern therapist, course creation, web design and branding, automating your workflow, protecting your IP, Tax essentials, Therapist self-care. These sessions will be scheduled throughout the year.
A private community within our Circle platform where you can stay connected to the other therapists in the group. This is your place to benefit from the support, wisdom and experience of the other therapists in the membership. We all benefit from feeling connected to one another. You don't need to feel alone and isolated while running your business anymore.
Each month, you can join me and others members in an online co-working session, where you can work along side to help you stay focused. Got a sales page you're writing? Putting together a lead magnet? Creating content ideas? Got admin to catch up on? Or maybe you just don't want to always be working alone. Get it done with others in the community and get my eyes over your progress if you need too!
This is our forever growing resource available to members to support them in the growth of their practices and in the development of their clinical skills. The sections currently include resources for clarifying your business "why", your ideal client, private practice basics, perinatal assessment tools, PR & Marketing, Legal Support Resources, Perinatal Training/CPD. I continue to create new resources as needed by the group.
Heavily discounted 60min 1:1 mentorship/supervision sessions with me (Yara) for if you ever want to go deeper with support.
.
I know that this membership delivers above and beyond the monthly investment, and that is something I am very proud of!
Some members may that find the monthly opportunity to check in with me or to seek advice privately via Voxer is all they want and need. While others may find the group calls & community, or the workshops most potent. There is no "right" way to use the membership.
We all have different needs and that is why I have included all of these components in the membership - to give you flexibility to use it in the way that works best for you.

There is a growing library of resources also available in our members area to support you as you build your business. I create new resources as needed to meet our member's needs. Have a look at the video below to peek what awaits inside our members hub/area!
** Your hub will look slightly different to this as we have just moved BLOOM to a new platform that includes the community space and all the live call rooms in one place. We are now on the Circle platform which also has a handy app, so everything is easier to access, giving members a more seamless experience of BLOOM.
I had no idea about the many factors that would play a role in building a sustainable, thriving, and purpose-driven "helping" business.
I wished for a mentor who could provide guidance not only on mindset and practice development, but also on the art of crafting an ethical, authentic brand with integrity and a deep sense of purpose.
The journey to building my practice proved to be a journey of trial and error, and I often found myself longing for a community of like minded therapists who were on a similar path. A village of individuals I could connect with, who would understand the imposter syndrome-like feelings I experienced, and with whom I felt safe enough ask for advice and support.
I have since worked with mentors and business coaches who were great but none of them worked in the same arena as me in terms of being a registered and federally regulated therapist. This meant that often, when I had questions about building my business they had blind spots when it came to ethical practice.
Similarly, the clinical supervision I have received was always spot on for my therapeutic work, but it wasn't somewhere I could recieve guidance around how to build a modern practice that was predominantly online and didn't only involve 1:1 therapy. So.. I had to figure a lot of it out for myself and make plenty of mistakes along the way!
Over the years that I have provided mentorship for therapists (which include counsellors, motherhood coaches, psychologists, social workers, OT's and more) they all tell me how much they gain from even just one session because I am in the unique position of being able to provide clinical and business related feedback/guidance. What my 1:1 mentees also told me was that they didn't have much community as therapists that they could draw on for support - and I completely understand this as running your own business or working in private practice can be an isolated experience.
So hearing this feedback, I decided to create an offering that provides both of these things and more!
You're looking for clinical supervision. While Bloom, will provide opportunity to confidentially discuss client cases, it is not provided as a means for clinical supervision. This is more akin to peer supervision in terms of when client cases are discussed.
You do not have a special interest in perinatal work, or your work is unlikely to cover this demographic in the near future (i.e. next few months).
You are NOT a registered psychologist, counsellor, social worker, occupational therapist or other kind of perinatal practitioner/therapist.
I'm guessing that you’re already familiar with me to some extent, but just incase your not…
I’m Yara Heary, and over the past 6 years I have built a successful, aligned, and modern psychology practice centered on help mothers go from surviving to thriving on their terms.
I am a registered psychologist, a wife, mother of two, and singer – in which ever order works best on any given day!
Life After Birth Psychology began following the birth of my first son. I wanted to build a business that would allow me to do the work I loved, and provide flexibility around my young family. I had and still do have many big dreams for Life After Birth but I have learnt to tune into the state of my nervous system as a guide for how I run my business.
I now provide 1:1 therapy for only a small number of clients at a time, run a highly impactful group coaching program called The Rebirth, provide mentorship to therapists, manage a thriving social media account, host a podcast (Life After Birth with Yara) which consistently ranks in the top 25 parenting charts of Australia, and have been a guest on many other parenting related podcasts worldwide.
My desire in creating Bloom, was to provide what I had wished for when I began building my business. A safe space full of like minded therapists who would support each other with whatever was present for them. Whether that be be business, personal challenge, or the space to confidentially share and receive support on client cases.
Bloom is where you can nurture the growth of your practice and develop meaningful connections so that you flourish both personally and professionally.
Welcome to Bloom—where therapists come to thrive together.

"The gentle reflective questions Yara shares in the group, hearing other people talk about their challenges and the wisdom that is shared in response has really helped me get more connected with my why and think more broadly about what I would like my business to look like. Prior to the container of bloom I think I was more basing my business goals and plans on what I saw other people doing and thinking oh how do I replicate that. Your mentorship has allowed me to focus on me and do it my way and I am really grateful for that thank you"
Caitlin Sopp - Perinatal Psychologist
"I am really loving the evolution of community in Bloom, having access to a safe place among support professionals and mothers has been something that I’ve been missing in private practice. I love having access to the combined knowledge and experience within the group. I am so grateful for Yara's provision and development of workbooks & The Voxer sessions are really worthwhile. The richness and vulnerability on the group calls brings me back down to humanness. It's a great space!"
Sarah Ashton - Perinatal Occupational Therapist
"I am just starting out as a private practice owner, running my own business. This can be a very isolating venture but with Bloom I felt connected to other professionals who are working with the same clients as me. Connecting with other passionate therapists in the perinatal space and genuinely supporting each other and being vulnerable about the challenges we face is truly encouraging and motivating. In addition to the beautiful community Yara has created a resource for me that I can draw on any time I get stuck. The Facebook group is a supportive space to ask questions to the brains trust and the monthly voxer day gives me an opportunity to ask Yara directly about issues I am facing. Bloom makes me feel supported, empowered and connected as a therapist and a business owner. Every time I felt confused, stuck or lost I turned to Bloom and regained direction and momentum.”
Lisa Quinney - Perinatal Counsellor
The membership is $130 AUD per month and you will be charged this amount on the same date as when you first joined for every month thereafter.
You can cancel at any time within your dashboard on the circle platform.
Our next group call will be on Friday 23rd May 2025, 10am AWST and continue fortnightly.
Workshops and guest speakers will be booked according to speaker availability so may often be on other days of the week but generally around the same time of 9:30/10am AWST.
All calls will be recorded and uploaded to a members hub for you to access in your own time.
First of all, thats totally fine!
If you can't make the call time, there is still so much value in the membership!
In our membership hub you will find replays of all calls and workshops. Case discussions if they are brought to the calls, will always occur during the second half of our gatherings and will not be included in the recordings/replays for confidentiality reasons.
You can also still recieve great value from community discussions within the facebook group - take your questions there if you cant make the call, and:
You will still have monthly access to me via 1:1 voxer voice messages, or in our monthly co-working sessions.
The components of the membership have been included to provide flexibility in how each therapist uses it. Some may be able to attend all the calls but dont have as much time to be active in the facebook group. Some may be very active in the facebook group but unable to make every fortnight for the calls. Others may wish to drop in to the calls when they wish to seek advice or guidance, and some may utlitise the 1:1 support component more than anything else.
There is no "right" way to use the resources in the group, and there is value no matter how you choose to do so.
The group calls are a mix of peer supervision and business mentorship/guidance and may be counted towards your registration requirements for peer supervision should you have them. However, The group calls will not be sufficient for clinical supervision for endorsement via the registrar program for psychologists.
